And the porch stoops have been poured, and I'm protecting the brick from muddy foot traffic...

Exterior
Latest exterior view. Metal roof is still half done. Windows are still busted. But at least we got some painting done in the front and finished the concrete porch stoops with the week of good weather we had.

Exterior Paint
We've had a few days of abnormally warm December temperatures, so was able to get some exterior painting in...

Media Room Drywall
I'm a proud papa, the media room drywall is up!
I'm especially happy, because this was a last minute decision to finish this room in the basement. I had originally an estimate for a 2.5 ton unit to condition the 1st floor, and then asked them to upgrade it (the day of install no less!) to a 3.0 ton unit with 2 zones, one dedicated to the media room. I'm so glad I made that decision to finish the room! :)

Exterior Finishing
Metal roof on the garage visor is being put on...
And the deck ceiling is done with trim and molding (not painted yet though)...
Also, I spent some time today putting in a wiring conduit for the projector when mounted to the ceiling...

Final Details Before Drywall
Spent a good portion of the day stripping all the structured wiring to make it easier to pull through once the drywall is up.
Also added foam insulation in a small cavity in the pocket door frame where traditional batts wouldn't work.
Also added foam insulation in a small cavity in the pocket door frame where traditional batts wouldn't work.
And luckily caught a mistake where the pocket door frame was installed too low and had to redo the track height, and because it's a 2x6 wall, also had to pack out the nailing header.

Exterior Priming
Painters arrived to start caulking and priming the exterior. However it's supposed to get really cold next week and it's now winter season, so it's possible we might have to wait until next year...

Drywall Delivery
Well, the good news is they delivered the drywall, which is correctly placed all over the house in the basement, first and second floors...
The bad news is they busted 2 windows in the process... :)
The bad news is they busted 2 windows in the process... :)
For those that haven't seen what they do, they literally bring a big ass crane, and take out the windows (trying not to break them ;-) and lift all the drywall sheets (in my case they were 54" x 4' x 12' which is freaken huge) through the windows.
